About Orange County Court Docket

Orange County court information is divided among the clerk who keeps county trial-court records, the courts that schedule and decide cases, and Indiana MyCase, which provides public online case summaries. Reaching the right source is often the hardest step. Orange County Court Docket brings the official routes, terms, and practical distinctions together so readers can identify the proper record holder without confusing a case summary, filed document, certified copy, or transcript.

Why We Built This Site

Indiana generally provides public access to court records, subject to its Access to Court Records Rules and case-specific restrictions. Access is not the same as a single source. Elizabeth Jones, Orange County Clerk, keeps filings and docket records for Orange Circuit and Orange Superior. Those courts hold hearings and enter orders. Indiana MyCase offers public case information and eligible documents from the Odyssey system. A court reporter, rather than the clerk, produces a transcript.

Orange County also has local court assignments. Superior handles traffic, ordinance, misdemeanor, Level 6 felony, small-claim, eviction, and other specified cases, while Circuit receives causes not assigned elsewhere. Presenting search routes, cause-number formats, court roles, and request steps in one reference helps readers choose the right official source.

What You Will Find Here

  • Docket details: ways to read and search criminal dockets and civil dockets in Orange County
  • Dates and settings: steps for reviewing the court calendar and confirming a current hearing
  • Case lookups: instructions for an Indiana MyCase case search by name or cause number
  • Clerk requests: distinctions among court records, plain copies, certified copies, and transcripts

What We Cannot Do

Orange County Court Docket is privately operated. It is not connected to the Orange County Clerk, an Indiana court, or a government agency. Those limits mean that we cannot:

  • Retrieve an official docket sheet or case file for a visitor
  • Set, move, cancel, or confirm a hearing
  • Seal, remove, change, or expunge a court record
  • Issue a certified copy, judgment, order, or transcript
  • Give legal advice about an Orange County case
  • Promise that a fee, phone number, or court setting has not changed

An official or certified Orange County record must come from the clerk or court that maintains the original. Court reporters handle transcripts of spoken proceedings.
